Welcome to my world all of you who might have stumbled across my website.

This is a counter intuitive website in that I’m not exactly soliciting employment opportunities, but simply using this website as an introduction to, and overview of, my career.

Maybe your a PFunk fan who saw me on the recent episodes of Mike Judge’s Tales From the Tour Bus where I wax poetic on George Clinton and Bootsy Collins. Or maybe you’re a budding songwriter or musical artist in search of some perspective on songwriting, or what it takes to be a successful artist. Maybe you’re just interested in my career arc and how I got from an upbringing in New England to joining George Clinton’s PFunk world and onward into the record business.

Whatever reason brought you here…welcome!  Feel free to check out the various video interviews, print interview on songs and songwriting, and to get an overall vibe on my musical career.

But first an explanation: though I was in various forms of the music business for over 45 years, I’m currently only taking on projects that get me excited. It might be a film or TV show that needs my expertise in finding songs, or it might be a PFunk oriented project.

However, I’m not really interested in hearing your songs and then giving you free advice. I know people who can help a young, struggling artist get a foothold in the mercurial music business of today, and I would be happy to refer you to one of them.

Of all the music and artists I was involved in during my forty five year career in the music industry, George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, and the PFunk Empire is what seems to fascinate most people. I’ve included two rather lengthy interviews that shine the spotlight on that aspect of my life.

And for those of you interested in A&R. music publishing, as well as songs and songwriting there are three interviews that focus on that aspect of my career.

So kick back, dig in and dig it, and I hope you find some useful information that will put a glide in your stride.

Aside from the song knowledge I’ve acquired from years of making records, working with artists, setting up collaborations between songwriters and all the various skill sets required of ‘an A&R guy.’ I’m also a professional who instinctively looks for the good in what an artist is doing.

My goal is to take any artist I become involved with to the highest possible level of exposure and success.”
